From Love and Information is a fragment, containing five pieces extracted from the 60 minutes long original music composed by Pedram Babaiee for the premiere performance of Caryl Churchill’s play Love and Information in UMass Amherst, Directed by Nikoo Mamdoohi. Originally released Feb 2016, in April 2018 Bivác Records published digital version and RouteNote Ltd digitally distributed it.

Ruins of a Memoir - (TBA)
Ruins of a Memoir is a contemporary classical concept album — A personal exploration in abstracts of Time, Waves and Imortallity. It includes four main pieces;
Three pieces for string quartet and piano. Frames, Fragments and Fractions. Each piece contains four movements. One exceptional piece - Infraction - which is written for woodwind trio and piano in three movements. Plus the four pieces mentioned above, four soundscape/ambient Epilogues, which are variations of themes used in its previous piece, in electronic style. Each epilogue includes a unique Persian musical element, related to a story.
In 2018, Pedram Babaieee has started a series of live performances named Preview in which he performs some parts of Ruins of a Memoir -mainly Frames, Fragments and Fractions- live on the stage with his ensemble, Bivác Quartet.

Vision

Direction
My favorite style of music to write is generally long compositions for small ensembles -string quartet, woodwind quartet, etc.-, collage-like miniature piano pieces and writing for chamber orchestra. I do like to use some Persian music elements in it, if possible; whether in orchestration or composition. However, most important feature of my works to be considered before being presented, is to make sure everything is in great harmony of form and content. I'm also really into Analog Synths, for production of electronic soundscapes and textures. I always prefer using analog equipment and ribbon microphones for recording, if possible.
