​Ruins of a Memoir(Album) - TBA  |   Pedram Babaiee  Ruins of a Memoir is a contemporary classical concept album — A personal exploration in abstracts of Time, Waves and Imortallity. It includes four main pieces;Three pieces for string quartet and piano. Frames, Fragments and Fractions. Each piece contains four movements. One exceptional piece - Infraction - which is written for woodwind trio and piano in three movements. Plus the four pieces mentioned above, four soundscape/ambient Epilogues, which are variations of themes used in its previous piece, in electronic style. Each epilogue includes a unique Persian musical element, related to a story. In 2018, Pedram Babaieee has started a series of live performances named Preview in which he performs some parts of Ruins of a Memoir -mainly Frames, Fragments and Fractions- live on the stage with his ensemble, Bivác Quartet. “I'm really obsessed with sonic characteristics of Analog synths, reel recordings etc, as well as Writing long compositions for small ensembles, as well as letting myself open to experiment potentials of Persian music legacy in contemporary music. But I guess the main framework of  Ruins of a Memoir is getting to a poetic balance of three obsessions above; Music that not only to makes sense on paper, but also to sounds beautifully new.”
